A photo booth is a fantastic addition to any event, whether it’s a work dinner, wedding, graduation, or birthday celebration. They make your guests laugh and have a good time by creating a safe environment for them to have a good time with their pals.
Best of all, your visitors will be able to take lovely prints of themselves home with them. It’s a concrete representation of a memory they’ll have of your event for the rest of their lives.
Props are an essential component of any photo booth, since they add to the overall experience by bringing out your playful side. If you’re timid in front of the camera, photo booth props might help you relax by directing you to various stances.
You may hire a photo booth (like our award-winning Aura) to come with a variety of props when you rent it.
If you’re doing it yourself, you can also buy them online or in a store.
Here are some examples of different types of photo booth props.
- Stick Props

Printable cardboard cutouts that you can hold with sticks are known as stick props. These are the most frequent and inexpensive selfie props, and practically every photo booth will have a selection.
They’re frequently sold in sets for specific occasions or themes, such as rustic weddings, Harry Potter birthdays, rockstar graduations, Christmas and New Year’s celebrations. Speech bubbles, emojis, mustaches, lips, caps, and spectacles are all popular designs.
- Glasses

These are plastic frames in many shapes, colors, and sizes; they can even be oversized to hilarious dimensions.
For more serious parties, you can use geeky glasses so that your visitors can have a good time without looking out of place. Choose over-the-top designs like emoji glasses for casual events since they allow you to be ridiculous without feeling self-conscious.
- Hats

Pirate caps, viking hats, rabbit ears, rainbow-colored afros, and wigs are just a few of the unique photo booth headwear options.
Hats are great for attracting people to your photo booth. Nothing draws more attention than a group of guests wearing hats and dancing on the streets. It simply screams, “This is where the fun is.”
- Frames

Photo booth frames made of cardboard or wood add character to your images and are simple to pose with. By forcing your visitors to crowd in for the photo, they practically bring your guests together.
To fit any theme, photo booth frames can be constructed in a limitless number of ways. Consider a personalized Instagram selfie frame with your company’s profile photo, a classic floral frame for your wedding, or a Harry Potter frame for your birthday celebration.
- Masks

Photo booth masks conjure up images of a masquerade ball, and the two go hand in hand. Masks, on the other hand, are fantastic for a variety of other themes!
Your visitors will enjoy roleplaying with Iron Man, Spiderman, and Hulk masks, because to the popularity of superhero movies like The Avengers. Give them frightful zombie, Dracula, or Frankenstein masks for Halloween.
Even if you don’t have a specific theme in mind, you can still use the more generic and charming animal masks. Photo booth masks can help hesitant customers overcome their shyness in front of the camera.
- Feather Boas

Isn’t it a little cliche to have a feathered boa? Maybe. But then then, so is everything else on this list! Still, if you have them, I’d add them because they’re a lot of fun to use as a lasso in a photo.
- Wigs

Aside from masks, I’m not aware of any photo booth prop that can change a person’s appearance more quickly than a wig. These don’t have to be ridiculous or outlandish. It only has to be wigs. Fill your photo booth prop box with a variety of different colors and styles. You can bet they’ll be worn by someone.
Keep in mind that not everyone is comfortable posing for photos in your photo booth. Some guests are camera shy, so props can come in handy.
Most photo booths will come with a choice of props if you rent one. It’s fine, however, if you wish to bring your own!
Most importantly, discuss the options with Snap Time Photobooths. They are your partners and want your event to be a success as well.
